CAMx Test Case
As of CAMx version 4.51 (May 22, 2008) we are providing a 2-day model test case based on the June 3-4 2002 Midwest ozone/PM application. The domain from this case includes a large North American domain with 36-km grid spacing and a nested grid over the Midwest with 12-km grid spacing; both grids have 16 layers in the vertical. Gas-phase chemistry is treated using the CB05 mechanism, and PM is treated with the "CF" static 2-mode particle size option with the updated SOA chemistry.
The model inputs are divided into two tar files (met and other). We compiled CAMx using The Portland Group Compiler for Linux (v6.1) and the Intel Compiler (v9.0) and ran the test case with both compiled versions on a single-CPU Linux PC. Two different tar files provide the resulting model outputs for comparison.
Meteorological inputs for test problem using code version 4.31 and later.
Other inputs (IC/BC emissions, etc) for test problem using code version 4.51 and later
Test problem outputs using source code version 4.51 (Portland Group).
Test problem outputs using source code version 4.51 (Intel).
All users who would like
to run the test case should download the two input files and either of the output files.
Otherwise, you only need to obtain the v4.51 specific input files.
You may also use an FTP client to download these
files from our anonymous FTP site: host: ftp.environ.org
